After the huge success of "Naagin," producer Ekta Kapoor is venturing out into making a supernatural series. While "Kavach," with lead pair Mona Singh and Vivek Dahiya, is receiving accolades, the latest buzz is that the Balaji Telefilms head honcho is ready with another supernatural show.
Titled "Brahmrakshas," the show will apparently see popular actress Krystle D'Souza in the lead role. The actress, who rose to popularity with "Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai," was last seen on "Ek Nayee Pehchaan." Ahem Sharma of "Man Marziyan" fame is likely to play the male lead role, DNA reported.
The show will apparently revolve around ghosts and will be telecast on weekends in Zee TV.
Going by the report, one can't help but wonder if "Brahmrakshas" will replace Zee TV's ongoing reality show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" 2016, which airs on weekends. The reality show has been extended by two weeks recently as there is no other show to replace it in the same time slot. Also, after "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" comes to an end, the channel has decided to run its highly popular shows, including "Kumkum Bhagya," "Jamai Raja" and others, seven days a week until a new show is scheduled.
In other news, Krystle was in news recently when reports surfaced that she had been approached to replace Kratika Dheer, who played the role of Tanushee on "Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki." However, latest report said that the role apparently went to Shivani Tomar, who was last seen in "Hum Apke Ghar Mein Rehte Hai."
