Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat has reportedly been attacked by three masked men at her own apartment block in Paris. The intruders first sprayed tear-gas on the actress and then beat her.
Mallika was along with a male companion at her apartment block in the French capital. The incident apparently happened on Friday at around 9.30 pm (local time). Mallika and her companion were attacked at the lobby of the building by the three men.
Without any time to react, the attackers first tear-gassed Mallika and her companion and then started throwing punches on them, reports Daily Mail. The intruders then fled from the spot, following which the actress called the police. A criminal investigation has been initiated and the police is considering it to be an attempt of robbery.
Kim Kardashian was also attacked and robbed at gunpoint just a month back in a flat near to the apartment where Mallika suffered the assault. It is still not confirmed if the male companion is her rumoured husband or someone else.
Earlier, Mallika was in the news when her father had confirmed that she got married to Paris-based businessman Cyrille Auxenfaus. It was reported that the duo had got married secretly but the actress had later taken to Twitter and denied the buzz.
"STOP spreading rumours. It's NOT true! The day I get married, you all will be invited. It's NOT TRUE. Please don't spread rumours. I am on my way to Cannes with my film Time Raiders," she had tweeted.
