Bollywood celebrities are apparently on a ride to take up more challenging roles. Among them is Hrithik Roshan who will play a triple role in his upcoming venture "Krrish 3".
Revealing that Hrithik will appear in a triple role, the film's director and producer Rakesh Roshan had earlier said, "He is playing Rohit the father and he also plays Krishna and Krrish." Yup, when he is the simpleton, he's Krishna and when he's the superman, he is Krrish," The Times of India reported.
Saif Ali Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh will also be seen in triple roles in Sajid Khan's "Humshakals". The comedy drama will reportedly be co-produced by Fox Star Studios and Vashu Bhagnani's Puja Entertainment.
Although not much has been revealed about the film and its lead cast, a source close to Sajid Khan said, "It's a catchy script and Saif's three characters are different but equally interesting," Hindustan Times reported.
"Ram Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh also have triple roles in the film," the source added.
According to reports, south Indian star Tamannah Bhatia, who recently made her Bollywood debut through Sajid Khan's "Himmatwala", will be seen playing Saif's lady love in the film. The makers have not decided on the other female leads.
"Talks are on with a couple of actors, but they are yet to sign anyone," the source said.
This will be the first time both Saif and Ritesh will be playing triple roles in any film. The shooting of "Humshakals" will kick-off in September and the film will reportedly hit theatres on 6 June, 2014.
Saif is currently shooting for "Bullett Raja" which features Sonakshi Sinha in female lead.
