Akshay Kumar, who will soon be seen in "Housefull 3," has reportedly agreed to do the upcoming sequel of "Awara Paagal Deewana." The original film featured Akshay, Aftab Shivadasani, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Johnny Lever, Rahul Dev, Aarti Chhabria, Preeti Jhangiani and Amrita Arora.
According to a Mid-Day report, producer Firoz Nadiadwala has decided to make "Awara Paagal Deewana 2," for which he has approached Akshay. Cast of the second installment of the action-comedy film will also reportedly include Suniel, Johnny and Paresh.
The report also added that Akshay and Firoz had brawls during the making of "Hera Pheri" and its sequel as well. Since then the two had been keeping distance with each other and that was one of the reasons Akshay not being part of "Hera Pheri 3." However, the issues have reportedly been resolved between the two.
"Akshay has agreed to be part of the film, which is currently in the pre-production stage. It will go on floors towards the latter part of the year since Akshay needs to wrap up his other commitments," the report quoted a source as saying.
While the original film was directed by Vikram Bhatt, choreographer-director Ahmed Khan will direct "Awara Paagal Deewana 2," the report said. However, there has not been any official confirmation on the making of the sequel of the film. Akshay's next movie "Housefull 3" also features Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon. The film will hit the screens on June 3.
