Four years ago, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif worked together in "Ek Tha Tiger," but looks like it's time to change that.
Personal differences (read: breakup) kept them from working together, but rumour has it they are set to reunite on celluloid with Ali Abbas Zafar's "Tiger Zinda Hai," DNA reported.
According to the daily's sources, the makers have booked Eid 2018 for the film and it is the sequel to Kabir Khan's "Ek Tha Tiger." This raises one question: will Kabir give up on the second instalment? Apparently, there are no "Hang-ups" between him and Ali, so all's good.
"Salman's 'Ek Tha Tiger' broke all pre-existing records when it released on Eid about 4 years back. Now that Salman is gearing up for the sequel, he wants this to release on Eid too. Kabir's Tubelight releases next Eid. So probably Ali's film will only release on Eid 2018," the insider further elaborated.
About Katrina being part of the project:
Katrina and Salman share a healthy rapport; they support each other as friends and recently took part in an ad shoot for a Dubai-based fashion brand also. They have dated for a few years, but the split hasn't made their equation awkward.
However, the "Baar Baar Dekho" actress did steer clear of questions relating to Salman when she was dating Ranbir Kapoor. Last year, she had said (when asked about the senior actor) that it would be disrespectful to her current "relationship" if she spoke about her past.
What are Salman and Katrina doing now?
Salman is in Ladakh for Kabir's "Tubelight," in which he essays the role of a man-child. The social-drama is expected to arrive in theatres on Eid 2017. Next up, he has Rajkumar Santoshi's as-yet-untitled project, "Dabangg 3" and "Kick 2."
Katrina has "Baar Baar Dekho" lined up for release. Directed by Nitya Mehra, the romantic-drama features Sidharth Malhotra in the lead and is out on Sept. 9. The look and feel of the film is good and the music album is soothing to the ears. "Sau Aasmaan" and "Kala Chashma" stand out.
