If the latest rumours are to be believed then director Abhinav Kashyap is set to team up with Salman Khan's arch rival Shah Rukh Khan for his next venture.
Abhinav Kashyap, who had directed 2012's biggest hit "Dabangg", had a fallout with Salman and his brothers following which he refused from directing the sequel.
According to latest reports, Shah Rukh and Abhinav have been often holding meetings to discuss a script. It is also rumoured that they might make an official announcement of their project soon.
"Abhinav became an overnight sensation with Dabangg. After the director walked out of the film's sequel, he went ahead and signed a film titled Project 18 with a corporate house, for which he was reportedly talking to Shah Rukh. But after it didn't materialise, he went on to do the film with Ranbir," a source told Mid-Day.
The source went on add that both Shah Rukh and Abhinav have finalised the script and the project will go on floors after they are done with their ongoing projects and prior commitments. While Abhinav is due to start filming his upcoming project with Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh will commence the shooting of Farah Khan's "Happy New Year" soon.
Meanwhile, sources close to the actor said that Abhinav visited Shah Rukh to inquire about his health post his surgery and not to discuss about any scripts.
"Abhinav and SRK have been friends for years and that is why they often meet up. But right now there is nothing concrete. They have always wanted to work together but currently that's about it. There is no script and no discussion."
While reports of the two biggies of Bollywood teaming up for a project are doing the rounds, neither Shah Rukh nor Abhinav has made any comments on the same.
