Karan Mehra, who played the role of Naitik Singhania on "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai," recently shocked his fans when he announced his exit from the long running show. Post his exit, Karan seems to be enjoying his break and has even undergone a makeover.

Karan took to his Instagram page to post a picture where he is seen sporting a French beard. He captioned the picture, which read "Good Beard Day #change #diaries #exploring #celebrate #celebrity #style #different #look," he wrote.

Karan, whose character of Naitik became a household name, quit "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" apparently due to serious health issues. Karan, who shot his last episode recently, announced his exit to his millions of fans worldwide through a video on his Facebook page. In the video, the actor expressed his gratitude towards his fans for the love they have showered on him for the past seven years.

"In the past, there have been reports of Karan leaving the show, but this time he is actually exiting from the series. Talks were on with the makers from quite some time. Karan's doctor has advised him to look after his health and take rest or else he might have to face some fatal health issues in future. Thus, with a heavy heart, he has taken the call to finally bid goodbye to YRKKH," a source had told Tellychakkar.com.

Ever since Karan made an exit, fans of the show have been expressing their disappointment on social media. Even the team of "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" has been worrying about the show's TRP, which might be affected after Karan's exit. When Hina Khan, who plays the role of Akshara on the show, was asked about it she told Bollywood Life: "Yes, we are worried. We know that his exit will impact the show. We have our fingers crossed. Karan will be missed by all of us."
