After Europe, Sony Xperia X Compact comes to US via Amazon

As promised, Sony has started releasing the company's mini flagship phone Xperia X Compact in multiple markets. Last week, it was made available in Europe and now, the device can be purchased in the US.

Sony's new Xperia X Compact (unlocked) can be grabbed for $499.99 on Amazon. Prospective buyers will have three colours -- black, blue and white — to choose from.

Xperia X Compact's sub-$500 price tag is apt for its features. Unlike other smartphone makers, Sony does not compromise on specifications in its mini phones. Some companies to cut costs, incorporate sub-par hardware, but Xperia X Compact boasts top-notch camera hardware. 

It houses a state-of-art 23MP camera with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor, predictive hybrid auto focus, quick launch (less than 0.03 seconds), 5x clear image zoom, 24mm wide-angle G Lens F2.0 aperture and Pulse LED flash.

On the front, it features a 5MP snapper with 1/3.06-inch Exmor RS mobile image sensor.

Other stipulated features include 4.6-inch HD screen, Snapdragon 650 hexa-core CPU backed by 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory and a 2,700mAh battery.

When will it come to India?

There is no word on when Sony Xperia X Compact will be made available in India, but we are certain that the company is not likely wait long, as Sony is tipped to release flagship Xperia XZ later this week in the country.

The company, in a bid to avoid sales cannibalism between the two devices, might launch X Compact in October.
