Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali may have had their differences, but looks like they are ready to look past them and join hands for a film. The superstar has apparently expressed an interest in working with the master director.
"SRK has been eager to work with Bhansali and even requested him to direct a film which could be co-produced by them," Mumbai Mirror quoted a source as saying. At the 8th Mirchi Music Awards 2016, the "Fan" actor and Sanjay got talking, after which they left for a late dinner at the latter's residence and chatted for hours.
They vibe between two may now seem warm and cordial, but there was a phase when they went cold towards each other. The first cracks in their working relationship appeared when their films — "Om Shanti Om" and "Saawariya" — went head-to-head in 2007. Since then, they have had an on and off kind of friendship until recently when Sanjay said they didn't harbor grudges against one another.
"I'm a filmmaker, he's the biggest star, loved by millions. There's no comparison. Shah Rukh made Devdas for me and I made it for him. He's special to me and I think I am special for him. We are and will always be good friends. We are both here for the love of making movies," the leading daily quoted him as saying.
Meanwhile, there's been a strong buzz that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will return on the silver screen in Sanjay's next. A BollywoodLife source revealed that the director is looking at making a modern-day love story set abroad. "Bhansali is planning to do a very different kind of film now. He is currently working on the script and the film is going to be a modern day love story set abroad and will be shot extensively in Europe," the insider further elaborated.
