Another talented actor has joined the cast of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film "Jazbaa" and its none other than Jackie Shroff.
Director Sanjay Gupta confirmed the reports that Jackie has joined "Jazbaa" cast.
"Day-after a very special actor and a dear colleague of many years joins the cast of JAZBAA. Guess who? PS. April fool is over," he tweeted on Monday.
And revealing the name of the actor, Sanjay tweeted on Thursday saying "My favourite Dada joins the JAZBAA family. Welcome aboard Jaggu Dada."
Jackie is teaming up with the former Miss World after a decade. Jackie and Aishwarya last worked together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Devdas" released in 2002.
"I am reuniting with Aishwarya Rai after thirteen years and she is always fantastic to work with. Almost all of my scenes in the film are with her," Jackie told Mumbai Mirror.
Not only Aishwarya, "Jazbaa" also reunites Jackie and director Gupta. "Jazbaa" director worked with Anupam Kher and Jackie 19 years ago in "Ram Shastra" movie. He also directed Jackie in "Jung" movie, released in 2000.
"It is an interesting role and being on the set today meant getting back with my favourites from the industry. Sanjay has the habit of shooting grand sequences that look simple and that's the kind of scene we filmed," Jackie said.
"Jazbaa", which is an action thriller, features Aishwarya, Irrfan Khan, Anupam Kher and Shabana Azmi in key roles. The film also features Siddhanth Kapoor, Priya Banerjee in important roles.
The film, which is a remake of South Korean film, will release on 9 October.
