Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan will appear in a 32 kg lehenga in one of the songs of R Balki's film "Ki & Ka".
She has shot a track in which she is wearing a lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra that weighs over 30 kgs. Earlier, actress Deepika Padukone also wore a heavy lehenga which weighed 30 kgs in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Goliyon Ki Rasleela – Ram-Leela."
"Though Kareena sports a completely western look throughout the film, she didn't want to disappoint her fans and hence went completely Indian for the song in 'Ki And Ka'. Her lehenga weighs over 32 kg and is designed by close friend Manish Malhotra," a source told IANS.
Despite the heat, Bebo shot for over two days in that heavy attire for a song choreographed by Bosco.
"Kareena shot in this heavy lehenga in the scorching heat for over two days and wowed everyone with her ability to maintain her cool despite the challenging outfit and temperature," the source further said.
Apart from Kareena's outfit and the film's storyline, R Balki has also considered changing his songs' taste. In this flick, the audience will reportedly be entertained with a track that is different from Balki's other films' songs.
Arjun Kapoor, the lead actor of "Ki & Ka", introduced the peppy number 'High Heels' by Yo Yo Honey Singh to the director. Surprisingly, he liked the track and signed Bhushan Kumar as the music producer, according to The Times Of India.
"No one has heard this kind of music in a Balki film before. He gave me complete creative freedom with the music but was hands-on with this one song," TOI quoted Bhushan as saying.
In the film, Kareena will be playing the character of a career oriented wife and Arjun is the house husband.
