Priyanka Chopra is reportedly willing to bag one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming movies. While Deepika Padukone is said to have been already roped in for Bhansali's "Padmavati," reports said that Priyanka wants to work with the director as her first Hindi movie after the release of her Hollywood movie.
It has been reported that PeeCee has been in constant touch with Bhansali and wants to work in a SLB movie after she wraps up her shooting for "Quantico 2." However, the actress will apparently have to wait for some time as the director will next begin the movie "Padmavati" that reportedly features Deepika in the lead role.
"When Priyanka recently came to India to wrap up her domestic commitments, she met a few film-makers including Bhansali, for script narration sessions. It looks like Bhansali's story has stayed with her. She wants to work with him as soon as the 'Quantico' shoot wraps up. However, it may take time since he is about to begin work on another project titled 'Padmavati'," Mid-Day quoted a source as saying.
Earlier, there were rumours that Priyanka will feature in "Padmavati" but eventually Deepika reportedly bagged the project. The report also quoted another source close to the actress saying: "Priyanka has been quite open about her willingness to work with Bhansali. She has not signed any Hindi film as of now, and wants to take up a Bhansali film as her next. They share a great rapport. Once she completes commitments in the West, she will focus on her assignments in India and make an announcement as soon as things are finalised."
Earlier there was a buzz that Kangana Ranaut was trying to convince Bhansali to cast her in "Padmavati", replacing Deepika. However, the actress' spokesperson denied the rumours.
