TV shows usually fizzle out by the time they've reached its 7th or 8th season. Arrow is no exception. The show's ratings have reportedly dipped every time the show returned, but it does enjoy a strong fan base.

With no news of the show being renewed and its lead star Stephen Amell talking about how Oliver Queen's story arc would come to conclusion, we can only think of one question: If the show will end with season 7.

Talking on Smallville actor Michael Rosenbaum's podcast Inside of You, Amell said that there's a possibility that Queen could die eventually and only because he doesn't have superpowers. But, he also mentioned that it would be unwise to kill off a protagonist, as that would lead to the show being cornered.

Queen has done everything imaginable. From being marooned at Lian Yu to returning to Star City and running for mayor, the guy's done and seen it all. Amell believes the only thing left for Queen to do is to leave a legacy.

"Because we have all these other shows that exist. So whether 'Arrow' continued on in the absence of Oliver Queen, or someone else took up the mantle of the Green Arrow... I think leaving a legacy is the last box left to tick for the character," the actor added.

Even though everything he said sounds like a hint that the show's coming to an end, Emily Bett Rickards (who plays Felicity Smoak on the show) explained that Arrow will always have stories to tell, regardless of TV ratings.

Ending or not, Arrow is definitely gearing up for a crackling season with high dose of thrill and action. The previous season concluded with Queen turning himself in as a vigilante and walking through the prison gates.

He will be seen tackling high tension situations while fighting a whole bunch of inmates he put away during his term as Star City mayor. Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Avecedo) will continue to play Queen's arch nemesis and joining him will be the Longbow Hunters.

Arrow season 7 is scheduled to air on October 15.
