Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone launched the first track, "Gajanana", of their film "Bajirao Mastani" on 15 September in Pune.
The song was launched at a grand function in Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex, Balewadi Stadium, where a 195 ft-tall mosaic image of Lord Ganesha was also showcased.
The song's poster was created by more than 5,200 individuals. It became the biggest song launch event and, thus entered the Guinness Book of World Records.
The makers made sure to release the audio of "Gajanana" around Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus, which will hit theatres on 18 December, is based on the love story of warrior Peshwa Baji Rao, played by Ranveer, and his second wife Mastani, played by Deepika.
Priyanka Chopra essays the role of Bajirao's first wife, Kashibai.
In other news, "Gajanana" poster is not the only one that made its way to Guinness World Records this year.
After shattering records at the worldwide box office, SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali - the Beginning" (Bahubali) poster also entered the Guinness Book of World Records.
Like "Gajanana", "Baahubali" poster launch was considered as the world's biggest at its audio launch event itself in Kochi on 27 June.
Global United Media, the company that distributed "Baahubali" in Kerala, was behind the idea of creating the poster, which was designed by Rajamouli himself.
According to the Guinness website, the poster's size was 51,598.21 sq ft, which beat the previous record of 50,687.25 sq ft.
