After the superhit Malayalam movie "Amar Akbar Anthony," mimicry artiste-turned-director Nadhirshah has announced his second directorial venture April 1. While some fans doubted that the filmmaker might be playing a prank on April Fools' Day, he confirmed that it was not a joke.
The upcoming movie, touted to be a comedy entertainer, has been titled "Kattapanayile Hrithik Roshan" with scripwriter Vishnu Unnikrishnan playing the lead role. The film is expected to go on floors on the first day of Malayalam month Chingam (Sept.13).
"Without much assertions or claims, the team of "Amar Akbar Anthony" is planning a small comedy entertainer. The scripting is over and we are planning to start the shooting of the movie on Chingam 1. The main star of the movie is its story, therefore one of the scriptwriters will be seen as the film's lead hero. Requesting your blessings. NB: Even though we tried to cast actual Hrithik Roshan for the movie, Mr Vishnu was forced to do the role, as Roshan said he doesn't have the look and glamour to do this heavy character (translated)," Nadhirshah posted on his Facebook page.
The director has also released the movie's first-look poster, which features a caricature image of Vishnu. The movie is being produced by Nadhirshah's friend and actor Dileep along with Dr. Zachariah Thomas. While the scripting has been done by Vishnu and Bibin George, the cinematography of the flick will be handled by Sujith Vaassudev, who is awaiting the release of his directorial venture "James and Alice" with Prithviraj Sukumaran and Vedhika in the lead roles.
Meanwhile, Nadhirshah's debut directorial venture "Amar Akbar Anthony," starring Prithviraj, Jayasurya and Indrajith Sukumaran, opened to positive response from the movie-goers. The comedy entertainer did tremendous box office business in India and abroad.
