Kabir Duhan Singh played negative roles in recent biggies such as Ajith Kumar-starrer Tamil movie "Vedalam" and Pawan Kalyan's Telugu flick "Sardaar Gabbar Singh." Now, the actor is set to work with one more big star from South. He is going to play the role of a baddie in Sudeep's upcoming Kannada film "Hebbuli."
The actor revealed on Twitter that he is making his debut in Sandalwood. "Thanks for the warm welcome in kannada film industry.... I love you kannadigarus... #Hebbuli #sudeep #Debut," he posted. But he is not the only villain in the film as P Ravi Shankar and Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan are also doing negative roles.
The upcoming Kannada movie is written and directed by Krishna of "Gajakesari" fame. Amala Paul plays the female lead in "Hebbuli."
"We wanted to have known faces who bring in what to expect from their characters, instead of wasting time on showing each character's description. Faces like Kabir, Ravi Shankar or Ravi Kishan bring in that sense of awe," director Krishna told the Times of India about the villains in his movie.
Kabir Duhan Singh's performance in "Vedalam" had won lots of appreciation and helped the actor bag a role in "Sardaar Gabbar Singh." But his role was not powerful in the Pawan Kalyan-starrer.
"Hebbuli" is a mega-budget project that revolves around a social issue. The team has planned a lengthy 130-day schedule of shooting and the first schedule will begin in May. The film was supposed to start one and a half years ago, but Sudeep's busy schedule delayed the project.
Kiccha plays the role of a para commando in the Kannada movie, which will be shot in places like Ballari, Mysuru, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, apart from filming songs in Norway and Iceland.
