Mahesh Manjrekar is all set to make his Kollywood comeback. The Bollywood filmmaker and actor will be seen as the antagonist in forthcoming Vikram-starrer "Garuda."
Director Thiru told the Times of India he felt Mahesh Manjrekar's personality was apt for the role. That is why he signed the Bollywood actor. The multifaceted personality will come to Chennai for the first day of the shooting.
It may be recalled that Mahesh Manjrekar played a corrupt politician in Ajith's "Arrambam." His performance had garnered rave reviews.
A huge set of a factory has been erected for "Garuda" by art director Maya Pandi of Atharvaa's "Kanithan" fame. Shooting for the upcoming movie will begin April 1.
On the other hand, Thiru has signed Kajal Aggarwal to play the female lead in "Garuda." This is the first time she is pairing up with Chiyaan. The actress will play an ultra-modern girl in the action thriller.
The buzz is Vikram has grown a beard for his role in "Garuda." But his look has not been finalised yet. "We are working on some interesting looks for Vikram," the daily quotes the director as saying.
On the other end, Vikram is busy with Anand Shankar's "Iru Mugan," which is being shot now. It is a science-fiction thriller that has Nayantara and Nithya Menen as the female leads. The mega-budget film will hit the screens later this year.
