Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is riding high after the victory of his Kabbadi team Jaipur Pink Panthers in the recently concluded Pro Kabaddi League team, has expressed his desire to act in a Tamil film.
The actor mentioned that he has some good old memories with Chennai and has even shot for some of his films in the city. "I would love to and I am dying to do a Tamil film," the actor told PTI, during the launch event of Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon.
Unlike his wife and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who had acted in Tamil films like "Enthiran"("Robot" in Hindi), "Raavanan", "Iruvar" among others, Abhishek has only been a part of several Hindi films directed by Tamil celebs like Mani Ratnam and late Jeeva.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan are his all time favourites, and now, Vikram who had portrayed Abhishek's role in the Tamil version of Mani Ratnam directorial "Raavan" has also been added in "Dhoom" series actor's favourite list.
Recalling some good old days, the actor said that his father Amitabh during his career in 80's, used to visit Chennai and sometimes the entire family used to spend the summer season in the city.
"I have been coming here since I was a kid. Since dad worked here for many of his films, we have spent many summers here. (I have an) old bond with Chennai," he said.
The actor, who owns the Chennai franchise in the Indian Super League (ISL), will soon fly to the US for the road show of his "SLAM! The Tour" event along with the entire cast of his big Bollywood film, "Happy New Year", which will hit the theatres worldwide on 24 October.
