Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has recently bagged a project opposite Shah Rukh Khan, and now, she might get caste alongside another 40-plus actor. There are reports that one of "Badlapur" director Sriram Raghavan's upcoming projects is a thriller, for which Alia and Akshay Kumar's names are being coinsidered.
Raghavan has collaborated with scriptwriter-turned-author Sheeja Jose and will make a film based on her bestseller "Gone with The Bullet," according to Mumbai Mirror. The book contains the fictionalised versions of several true incidents.
"It (the script) took me two years to complete, and when things didn't fall in place with Sujoy, I turned the script into a book. The story follows an 18-year-old girl who falls in love with a 40-something assassin," Jose told Mumbai Mirror.
The author also said Raghavan didn't have to write the script for this film as he had seen the original draft. She further hinted that Akshay would look perfect in the role of the assassin and Alia in the character of the teen.
"I think Sriram will agree that Akshay Kumar would be perfect as the brooding, dark assassin and Alia Bhatt as the new-age girl in love. It's a hatke romance against the backdrop of bulletts," Jose said.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Akshay and Alia will share the screen. In 1999, Alia appeared in Akshay and Preity Zinta-starrer "Sangharsh" as a child artiste. The film was appreciated and Rana received the Filmfare Best Villain Award as well.
Meanwhile, it will be a treat for fans if Bollywood's "Khiladi" and Alia appear on big screen together. Alia is currently working in "Kapoor and Sons" and "Udta Punjab." She will soon start the shooting of Gauri Shinde's film, which stars SRK alongside Alia.
