It is raining offers for leggy lass Anushka Shetty. The "Singam" actress, who is currently busy with two big-budget projects - "Rudramadevi" and "Bahubali" ("Mahabali" in Tamil) might pair up with none other than superstar Rajinikanth.
Even as Rajinikanth's "Kochdaiiyaan" is gearing up for release, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding his next project. There are reports claiming that the superstar will team up with director KS Ravikumar for a new project.
According to the grapevine, the director has already started the pre-production work for this film. Apparently, Shetty has been approached to play the female lead opposite Rajinikanth. The actress is said to be keen to work with the superstar, unless some date issues crop up.
"Yes, Anushka has been approached to work with Rajinikanth. Talks are on with her though she has not been finalized for the film. If she signs the project, she will start shooting for the film from June. From Anushka's side, she is very keen on accepting the offer. The only thing that could stop her from taking up the project could be date issues," a source close to the actress told Times of India.
However, there is no official confirmation regarding this project.
Shetty has also been reportedly approached to play the heroine for "Thala" Ajith in Gautham Menon's new film. Various reports suggest that the actress is likely to play the female lead opposite Ajith.
Although her presence is not officially confirmed, it is said that the actress's costumes for the project are being designed.
The Ajith-Gautham Menon project, deemed as a big budget entertainer, is expected to go on floors in a week's time. An official announcement regarding the film's cast and crew details is likely to be made soon.
