Rajinikanth's "Kochadaiyaan" is yet to make it to the theatres, but speculations have already begun about his next project.
Earlier rumours were doing the rounds that the superstar would be teaming up with K V Anand of "Ko" fame, but the cinematographer-turned-director refuted the reports. Few weeks ago, it was revealed that Dhanush, Rajinikanth's son-in-law, will be working under K V Anand's direction.
Dhanush confirmed the news on his Twitter page saying, "Yes guys...much 2 d delight of u all and myself iam doing a film with k v anand sir.the technicians are yet 2 b finalised.shoot 4m august."
Now, buzz is that the superstar will be working with director Shankar of "Robot" ("Endhiran") fame. Reports have emerged that Shankar has narrated the storyline to Rajni and even got his approval. If the buzz is true, then it would be the director-actor's third venture after blockbusters "Sivaji" and "Endhiran" (Robot).
Rajini's work in "Kochadaiyaan" has been completed and the film is currently undergoing post-production work. Directed by Soundarya, the film is an epic drama shot using 3D motion capture technology. The film is expected to hit theatres during Diwali in November.
Shankar is also busy with his current project "I" with Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead. The film is also expected to release in November this year. Interestingly, both the flicks have scores composed by Oscar winner A R Rahman.
Once these projects are completed, Rajini and Shankar might begin their new project. When two big giants from the industry work together, what else but a quality fare can be expected from them. However, an official announcement on the new project is yet to be made.
