A bomb blast hit Kabul on Monday morning, with an explosion reported near the Hamid Karzai International Airport.
At least one civilian was killed in the explosion while four people were wounded, spokesperson to the Afghan Ministry of Interior Affairs Sediq Sediqqi said through his Twitter account.
Some reports said that about 13 people were injured in the blast.
A suicide bomber targeted a convoy of foreign troops in the Hawa Shinasi area near the airport, local reports said.
The Taliban claimed the attack, Pajhwok Afghan News reported.
The group claimed they were targeting foreign troops in the area.
The blast comes even as Pakistan's army chief General Raheel Sharif visited Kabul on Sunday to restart peace talks with the Taliban.
