ShopClues, one of the leading online retailers in India, announced the exclusive launch of Penta T-Pad laptop on its online store on Thursday, bringing an ultra-affordable option for those looking for a new laptop. Pantel's Penta T-Pad is a two-in-one laptop that can be detached from the keyboard to be used as a tablet.
Penta T-Pad is priced at Rs. 10,999, making it one the cheapest convertible laptops in the market. It is powered by Intel Atom x5 quad-core processor clocking speeds at 1.44GHz, which is comparably faster than most of its rivals in the same price range. Penta T-Pad comes pre-loaded with Windows 10, enabling users to access native Windows apps on the laptop.
Pantel Penta T-Pad features a 10.1-inch display with a screen resolution of 1280x800 pixels and has a touch type module with 10PointCapacitive, according to the company. The laptop has 2GB RAM and 32GB storage with an option to expand further up to 256GB. There's also a 5MP rear camera for taking pictures and a 2MP front snapper for video conferencing, which is another feature that most laptops and tablets in its range fail to match.
Pantel said the Penta T-Pad has a light-weight design, making it easy to use it on-the-go. The battery is expected to run a day or last up to seven hours with intensive usage. There is a microUSB slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity.
Available exclusively on ShopClues, the Penta T-Pad can be bundled with a 3G dongle by Aircel with six months of free internet connectivity for Rs. 11,599. The laptop can also be bought in monthly instalments through ShopClues. The Penta T-Pad competes against the likes of recently-launched Lenovo Ideapad 100S and other affordable laptops such as Lava Twintab, Micromax Laptab and Acer One 10.
Pantel sells a wide range of electronics, including smartphones and tablets, all in an affordable price range. The company was among the first companies to launch cheapest Windows 10 tablet, the Penta T-Pad, for Rs. 5,499 last year.
