Ae Dil Hai Mushkil worldwide box office collection: Ranbir's ADHM inches closer to Rs 250 crore mark

Ranbir Kapoor's two-week-old movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) has continued its dream run at the worldwide box office in the third week, taking its total collection closer to the mark of Rs 250 crore gross.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil collected Rs 104.86 crore nett at the Indian box office in two weeks. Its 14-day domestic gross total stood at Rs 149.81 crore. Trade analysts predicted that its collection would be impacted by new release Rock On 2 and the ban on currency notes of higher denomination.

As predicted, the Karan Johar-directed romance drama showed a steep decline in its numbers on its third Friday. But the negative response for Rock On 2 helped Ae Dil Hai Mushkil rock the box office once again. The movie showed decent growth in its business on its second Saturday and Sunday.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil collected Rs 3.40 crore nett (approximately Rs 4.85 crore gross) at the Indian box office in its third weekend and its 17-day domestic total stands at Rs 108.26 crore nett. The movie has raked in Rs 154.66 crore gross in the domestic market.

The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer is faring better than Rock On 2 in key international markets in its third week. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has collected approximately Rs 5.73 crore gross at the overseas box office in its third weekend. The movie's 17-day international business stands at Rs 79.15 crore ($11.7 million).

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has collected a total of Rs 233.81 crore gross at the worldwide box office in 17 days. Now, the film is marching towards the mark of Rs 250 crore gross. Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#ADHM [Week 3] Fri 70 lacs, Sat 1.19 cr, Sun 1.51 cr. Total: ₹ 108.26 ft. India biz. HIT... OVERSEAS: $ 11.7 million [₹ 79.15 cr]."
