Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) has made a superb collection at the US box office on its opening day and shattered the business records of superstar Salman Khan's Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is one of the most-talked about and highly-awaited Bollywood movies of 2016. Its promotions and the controversy surrounding Fawad Khan had grabbed the eyeballs of many in the international markets, especially in the USA, where Karan Johar and Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai and Anushka Sharma have got a huge fan following. The film was expected to do well in this foreign country.
The Karan Johar-directed romance drama was released in over 250 screens across North America and opened to a superb response. Despite clashing with Shivaay, Kaashmora and Kodi, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil collected $760,000 at the US box office on the first day. The movie has become the biggest opener for both Karan Johar and Ranbir Kapoor in this international market.

As per early estimates, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has collected approximately $740,000 at the US box office on its second day. Its total gross collection has surpassed $1.5 million-mark in the country in two days.
