Ex-lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have time and again delivered commercially successful and critically acclaimed films, despite their personal differences. If reports are to be believed, the hit onscreen couple may work together in Sajid Nadiadwala's next.
"Mr Nadiadwala has pitched them some interesting story ideas. Now it all depends on which script they eventually agree on. Both Ranbir and Deepika have agreed to team up again, but this is just in the initial stages as both actors are busy with prior commitments," The Asian Age quoted a source as saying.
Discussing ideas and holding meetings don't necessarily hint at a sealed deal but there are high chances of them teaming up for the producer's film. The actors in question have a packed schedule ,but Nadiadwala is thinking "long-term" and will announce the project next year, the insider further elaborated.
In other news, the Kapoor lad flies to Morocco in a few days, with Katrina Kaif in tow, to wrap up whatever's left of Anurag Basu's "Jagga Jasoos". Post this schedule, he has Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma. RK will then prep himself for the Sanjay Dutt biopic.
Meanwhile, Padukone has apparently said she will take a look at scripts and think about okaying them after she returns from her "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" shoot. However, at a recently-concluded event she did say she was keen on playing Saina Nehwal on the big screen. The "Bajirao Mastani" actress has been working really hard for her role in the upcoming Hollywood film alongside action star Vin Diesel.
