Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is being dubbed as Saba (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) and Ayaan's (Ranbir Kapoor) story, but it has more to do with Alizeh (Anushka Sharma) and Ayaan's equation.
A few weeks ago, it was being said that Bachchan wasn't promoting the Karan Johar directorial because she wouldn't want to spend too much time away from her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. A source told DNA that the reason for the leading lady not going all out on ADHM promotions is a little different than what was being reported.
"ADHM is primarily Ranbir and Anushka's love story. Fawad and Aishwarya just form different angles to their love story. While Fawad barely has a 10 minute role in ADHM, Aishwarya's role is slightly bigger. But still, she only has about 20-25 minutes of screen time in the film and she felt that since it isn't a prominent part, it's better she only promotes the film a bit and not go all out with Ranbir and Anushka," a source told the daily.
Most reality shows and TV programmes were attended only by Kapoor and Sharma, with Johar in tow for a few of them. Bachchan was present for a press interaction at the Jio MAMI festival 2016 and visited the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show.
What else is happening with ADHM?
The romantic-drama is neck-deep in controversy because of the ban called on Pakistani artistes. Fawad Khan's role has now been cut in duration and he has apparently been asked not to give interviews to the media at this point.
Scheduled to be released on October 28, ADHM is out on the same day as Ajay Devgn's Shivaay.
