Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) has done a phenomenal business at the box office both in India as well as overseas. The film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has entered the Rs 200 crore club at the worldwide box office.
Made on a budget of Rs 72 crore, the film recovered its cost in the first week itself. While it has raked in Rs 134.93 gross at the Indian box office till Sunday, its overseas collection stands at about Rs68.07 crore. With this, the worldwide collection of the romantic drama stands at Rs 195.74 crore gross. While the Monday's figure is yet to be out, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has for sure entered Rs200 crore club at the worldwide box office.
In the next two days, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil should enter the Rs 200crore club at the worldwide box office, thereby becoming one of the biggest hits of 2016. Despite having clashed at the box office with Ajay Devgn's Shivaay, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil continues to remain ahead of the action-thriller in terms of the figures.
Although KJo's film collected an impressive amount in the first weekend, its figures dropped in the second week. However, the positive word-of-mouth continues to help it draw the audience to the theatres.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is expected to witness a steady run in the next couple of days as well, considering no big ticket movies are being released until upcoming Friday (November 11) when Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor's Rock On 2 opens in theatres. Rock On 2 is likely to affect the business of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to some extent.
