Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) and Shivaay (Shivay) are still running at the box office and the latter's collection is just on the verge of crossing Rs 100 crore in the domestic market.
Both the movies have completed 25 days at the Indian box office and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil remained ahead of the action thriller. Although the release of Force 2 has affected the collection of the films, Karan Johar's romantic drama and Ajay Devgn's action thriller continued earning at the box office.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is ahead of Shivaay by over Rs 10 crore by the end of their fourth weekend at the Indian box office. Karan's multi-starrer had collected Rs 110.21 crore nett by the end of 21 days and now its earning stands at Rs 111.20 crore (approx) nett by the end of 25 days.
On the other hand, Ajay's Shivaay could not cross Rs 100 crore mark by a small margin on Monday. Early estimates suggest that the 25-day collection of Shivaay stands at Rs 99.40 crore (approximately) at the domestic market.
It was expected that Shivaay would enter the 100 crore mark at Indian box office by the end of its fourth weekend but the release of Force 2 slowed down its pace. The business of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil also got hit by the John Abraham-starrer. Nevertheless, Shivaay is likely to cross Rs 100 crore at Indian box office very soon.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay gave rise to one of the biggest box office clashes of this year. Although the former had an upper hand over Shivaay from day 1, Ajay's film jumped up well soon and ran almost at par with the other release.
