Multi-starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) and Ajay Devgn's Shivaay (Shivay) have completed a week at the box office with impressive collections. Karan Johar's romantic drama still remains ahead of the action thriller with a total nett collection of Rs 80.19 crore at domestic market.
The Karan Johar-directed romance drama did rocking business in its opening weekend and showed decent jump in its collection on Monday and Tuesday, due to the holidays. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil showed drop of 42 percent on Wednesday and it further dipped in the last day of its opening week.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has collected Rs 80.19 crore nett at the Indian box office in the first week. Its seven-day domestic gross total is Rs 111.38 crore. Mentioning the day-wise breakup of the film, Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#ADHM Fri 13.30 cr, Sat 13.10 cr, Sun 9.20, Mon 17.75 cr, Tue 13.03 cr, Wed 7.63 cr, Thu 6.18 cr, Total: 80.19 cr. India biz."
On the other side, Shivaay started on a slower note than Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in the domestic market and it showed massive growth on Monday and Tuesday. Like its rival, the Ajay Devgn-starrer dropped on Wednesday and Thursday, but its collection was almost on par with that of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer.
Shivaay has collected a total of Rs 70.41 crore nett at the Indian box office in the first week and its seven-day domestic gross total has reached Rs 97.79 crore. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay have collected Rs 150.6 crore crore nett at the Indian box office in seven days. Their first week domestic gross business has reached Rs 200.77 crore, which happens to be the highest amount earned by Diwali releases in the domestic market in the recent years.
