This is Karan's first directorial venture to have crossed the Rs100 crore mark while it's Ranbir's third after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Barfi. Interestingly, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil becomes the fourth Rs 100 crore film in Anushka's career after Jab Tak Hai Jaan, PK and Sultan. The romantic drama is Aishwarya's first film to have entered the prestigious club.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had a superb opening and had decent collection on the following days. The movie collected Rs 80.19 crore nett at the Indian box office in the first week and missed to cross the mark of Rs 100 crore with a small margin. The film was expected to surpass the Rs 100 crore mark by its first week, but it took a few more days for the movie to enter the club.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is expected to witness a steady run until upcoming Friday (November 11) when Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor's Rock On 2 opens in theatres. Rock On 2 is likely to affect the business of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to some extent.
