Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's intimate scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil sparked off rumours that the Bachchan household wasn't too pleased with her deciding to take such a bold step. However, Abhishek Bachchan's statement on the actress' performance may just put a lid on all the speculations.
"I have seen the scratches of the clips and kept seeing when it was under production. I think she is looking stunning. Also, I am very happy for Karan Johar and the entire team. I wish them all the very best," Abhishek told the media on the sidelines of Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla's fashion show in New Delhi.
The actor also explained why he wasn't able to catch the film yet. Abhishek is apparently travelling quite a bit with his Indian Super League (ISL) football team Chennaiyin FC, which is why he hasn't been able to watch ADHM.
"Unfortunately I haven't seen the film yet because I have been travelling with my football team. I will be seeing it in the coming week," he elaborated.
Meanwhile, Ranbir has come under fire for making a casual comment about the passionate scenes he shot with Aishwarya for ADHM.
In a radio interview, the young actor said that he was nervous about the romantic sequences between him and the former beauty queen. During one of the shots, his hands had begun to shiver but Aishwarya helped him pull off the scene.
"Sharam aati thi, mere haath shiver hote the. Kabhi kabhi main unke gaal ko touch karne mein jijhakta tha. (I would feel shy and my hands would shiver. I would hesitate to touch her cheeks) Phir unhone bola 'Listen what's wrong with you? We're acting, do it properly.' Phir maine socha, kabhi aisa mauka milega nahi, so maine bhi mauke pe chauka maar diya. (I thought I'll never get this chance again, so I took it)," Kapoor elaborated.
After the reports criticising his comment, the actor clarified that he would never disrespect Aishwarya adding that he will be forever grateful to her for her contribution to the film.
