Ranbir Kapoor's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) continued its dream run and made a good collection at the box office in the second week. It has now emerged as the sixth highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2016 in 14 days.
The Karan Johar-directed romance drama was released in theatres across the country during Diwali festival and received a good opening. Despite clashing with Shivaay, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil collected Rs 80.19 crore nett at the Indian box office in its opening week. Since there were no big-ticket releases, the movie was expected to keep rocking and become one of the top five highest grossing Bollywood films of 2016.
However, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer's collection dipped on its second Monday and continued to decline on the following days. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil collected Rs 16.96 crore nett in its second weekend and Rs 7.71 crore nett on the weekdays.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has collected approximately Rs 24.67 crore at the Indian box office in the second week and its 14-day domestic total collection stands at Rs 104.86 crore nett. It has become the sixth film to enter the club of Rs 100 crore movies in 2016. Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#ADHM [Week 2] Fri 4.56 cr, Sat 5.85 cr, Sun 6.55 cr, Mon 2.55 cr, Tue 2.35 cr, Wed 1.51 cr, Thu 1.30 cr. Total: ₹ 104.86 cr. India biz. HIT."
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has landed at the sixth spot in the list of highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2016. The movie needs Rs 2.84 crore to beat the lifetime record of Housefull 3, which is in the fifth place with its total domestic collection Rs 107.70 crore nett. Though its business would be affected by new release Rock On 2, the movie will collect the amount and grace the fifth rank. Here is the list of top 10 movies.
