The stage is getting ready for the release of Sivakarthikeyan's much-hyped Remo. The movie will be out on Friday, October 7, to coincide with the Navaratri pooja celebrations.
Billed as the best marketed film in Tamil Cinema after Kabali in 2016, Remo is set to register an earth-shattering opening. The advance booking clearly gives an indication of the craze around the Tamil movie.
Many theatres in Chennai started the advance booking on Tuesday, October 4. The trade reports say that the tickets for the first-day shows are selling like hotcakes. Looking at the response, exhibitors have decided to have early morning shows on Friday in many key centres.
The makers of Remo have promoted the movie well from the day the film hit the floors. Sivakarthikeyan has given his best in actively promoting the flick. As a result, the Tamil movie is getting a warm reception, the trade experts say.
Remo is releasing big in foreign countries too. In the US, it is seeing the light of the day in over 60 screens, which is a big number for Kollywood films. The Tamil flick will have premieres in the US and UK along with a few other countries on October 6.
Remo has bagged a U certificate from the regional censor board, thereby becoming eligible for the 30 percent entertainment tax exemption, given by the state government. This has turned out to be a major advantage for the movie as the gross collection will now almost be the net collection.
The movie, which is a romantic-comedy, directed by Bhagyaraj Kannan, has Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead. Sathish, KS Ravikumar, Saranya Ponvannan, Rajendran, Yogi Babu, Aadukalam Naren and others in supporting roles.
