Confirming the news, senior film journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted, "#Arramabam update - Advance booking opens in Chennai city & suburbs officially. from today."
With just less than a week remaining for "Arrambam" release, the buzz about the film doesn't seem to cease. The title "Arrambam" has become a trending topic almost every day on social networking sites. Such is the craze for Ajith, who is fondly referred to as "Thala" by his fans.
Expectations for the film are sky high, thanks to Ajith and director Vishnu Vardhan, who have teamed up for the second time after their 2007-blockbuster "Billa."
The censor board, which gave a "U" rating for "Arrambam", has claimed it to be Ajith's best ever film. The actor himself was shown a special screening and he was reportedly impressed with the final product. Ajith is said to have been mighty impressed with Arya's performance in the film and even called up the "Irandam Ulagam" actor to appreciate his work.
"Arrambam", which has been in the making for more than a year, will finally release on 31 October to cash in on the Diwali holidays. The action-packed entertainer is expected to have a massive opening on the first day of its release. According to Kollywood Cinema, "Arrambam" will be releasing in more than 500 screens, but the screen count will decline to 300 from 2 November, when Karthi's "All in All Azhaguraja" and Vishal's "Pandiya Nadu" releases.
The Ajith starrer will also have a grand release in Coimbatore circuit, which includes Coimbatore city, Erode, Tiruppur and Ooty. Behindwoods reports that there are about 75 theatres that are fit to watch new films. Cosmo Pictures' Shiva, who has bought the theatrical right of "Arrambam" for the aforementioned areas, told the website that the film will be screened in 40 to 50 theatres to get a big opening upon its release.
The Visnhu Vardhan directorial will have a run time of 2 hours and 37 minutes. Besides Ajith and Arya, the film has Nayanthara, Taapsee Pannu, Mahesh Manjrekar, Atul Kulkarni and Rana Daggubatti in supporting roles.
The film is produced by Raghuram under Sri Satya Sai Movies and its music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
