Taiwanese-based computer memory and storage manufacturer ADATA has unveiled a military grade shock and water proof hard drive called HD710 in India.
The company also unveiled the world's first 8.9 mm ultra-slim hard drive known as HE720.
HD710 is available in three forms of 500GB, 640 GB and 1 TB, all at prices ranging from ₹5,500 to ₹8,500, while HE720 comes with a storage capacity of 500 GB at ₹7,900, said Sudip De, Vice-President, ADATA Technology of India, reported Business Line.

ADATA claimed that the ultra-slim external hard disks can work under temperatures ranging from 5-degree Celsius to 50-degree Celsius and withstand storage temperatures as low as minus 40-degreee Celsius to maximum of 60-degree Celsius.
