Malayalam actress Shilpa Bala got engaged to Vishnu Gopal in a star-studded ceremony at Hotel Al Saj in Thiruvananthapuram on 27 November.

The ceremony was attended by actors Bhavana, Mrudula Murali, Shafna, Rachana Narayanankutty, Sija Rose, Manikuttan, Hemanth Menon, Rejith Menon, Saranya Mohan, singer Sayanora, among many others.

The actress will be marrying the Thiruvananthapuram-based doctor in a grand wedding ceremony in her native place Kanhangad on 18 August. Later, receptions will be arranged in Thiruvananthapuram and Dubai. 

Shilpa, who began her acting career with Sohanlal's debut directorial venture "Orkkuka Vallappozhum" was seen in dual roles in the film. She was later part of the films "Chemistry" and "Aagathan", among others. Shilpa is also a familiar face for the Kerala audience for hosting many TV shows, including "Comedy Express" in Asianet.
