Malayalam actress and dancer Shalu Menon, who was recently in the news in connection with the infamous Solar scam case in Kerala, is reportedly planning to get hitched soon. A wedding invitation card that is doing the rounds on social media suggests that the actress is set to enter the wedlock in September.
According to the invitation card, Shalu will get married to Kollam-based serial actor Saji G Nair at Guruvayoor Sreekrishna Swami Temple on Sept. 8. The muhurtham is said to be between 10 a.m and 10:30 p.m and the wedding reception will be on Friday, Sept. 9 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Surabhi Auditorium in Guruvayoor.
When International Business Times, India contacted Saji to get confirmation on the emerging reports, he was unavailable on telephone.
Shalu, who was allegedly said to have involved in the solar scam that shook the entire UDF government, has been staying away from films for quite some time and was pursuing her dance profession.
On the acting career front, Shalu is a familiar face for the Malayalam television audience for her roles in many popular serials telecast on Asianet and Surya TV. Some of her best known serials are "Sthreejanmam" "Kadamattath katthanaar," "Swami Ayyappan," "Devimahathmyam," "Penmanassum" and "Veera Marthanda Varma" among many others. She has also made her presence in Mollywood by acting in supporting roles in the films "Kakkakuyil," "Vakkalathu Narayanankutty" and "Ennum Sambhavami Yuge Yuge," among others.
