Even before the shock of the sexual harassment faced by Amala Paul has worn off, here comes another incident of a south Indian actor being molested in public. Actress Sanusha was sexually harassed on a train in the wee hours of Thursday, February 1. The Thrissur railway police have arrested a Kanyakumari-based gold manufacturer in connection with the case.
Sanusha was travelling from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram on the Mangalore–Thiruvanathapuram Maveli Express, and the incident occurred soon after the train left Shornur. According to the Kodi Veeran actress, the accused -- Anto Bose -- inappropriately touched her.
Even more shocking, Sanusha says her fellow passengers did not come to her help -- she says they "pretended" they were asleep. However, scriptwriter Unni along with another passenger from the next compartment came to her rescue.
Here are the five popular South actresses who were molested in public
"I opened my eyes as I felt something against my lips," the actress was quoted as saying by NDTV. "I was shocked to see a man's hand. I held on to his hand and twisted his fingers. I tried reaching out to a person in the berth below me for help but he didn't respond. I was shouting but no one cared to respond. This happened around 1.10 am. Just two people, scriptwriter Unni and another passenger, Renjith, came forward to help."

The accused has been booked under section 354 (outraging the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code.
"I want to reveal myself and speak up because I want this to be an encouragement to other women to act when they are in such situations," the actress is quoted as saying by News18.
Her courage to fight the issue has been hailed by netizens. "Appreciate #Sanusha and #AmalaPaul for taking courage to file case against harassment ...time for women to stand up against such practices," a person named Priyanka writes on Twitter.
"I think today's women have more guts than people from previous generations....admire your fighting spirit #Sanusha," another person shared his opinion on the social networking site.
Similarly, Amala Paul had a similar experience a few days ago. According to her, a 40-year-old man had approached her while she was doing a rehearsal for a song and made sexual advances. The Chennai cops have arrested a person over the incident.
