Actress Sandhya's family went through a rough time after her marriage plans went haywire. This forced her parents to change the wedding venue and she finally tied the knot with Venkat Chandrasekharan on Sunday, 6 December.
Her wedding was performed in a hush-hush manner at Guruvayoor temple in Kerala. Sandhya tied the knot with the IT professional Venkat Chandrasekharan as per the Hindu customs. But, the wedding was graced by limited members due to change in the venue.
Only the immediate family members and friends of the couple were part of the wedding. Sandhya's family now wants to organise a grand wedding reception once the situation becomes normal in Chennai.
The reports say that Sandhya's family had lost all communication with the groom's family last week due to the unprecedented rain in Chennai. They could only come in contact on Saturday and both the families decided on the date instantly and fixed the wedding.
Sandhya, who shot to fame with the movie "Kaadhal" in 2004, has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages. She has acted in over 30 films and she has a long list of forthcoming films in Kollywood and Mollywood.
Chennai has witnessed its worst tragic flood in the last century. The heavy rains affected communication, transportation and also caused huge damages to the properties. It also claimed 270 lives.
