Actress Rambha is reportedly trying to save her troubled marriage with estranged husband Indran Padmanathan, who apparently has been living separately for some time now.
Rambha has now moved to a family court in Chennai requesting to restore her conjugal rights, as reported by the Times of India. The actress has reportedly mentioned in her petition that she wants to live with her husband, thereby invoking section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act.
The petition will come up for the next hearing on December 3. She is the latest Tamil film celebrity after Amala Paul and Soundarya Rajinikanth whose marriages are in trouble.
Rambha is married to Indran Pathmanathan, a Canada-based businessman. After the marriage, the actress had settled in Toronto with her husband and began helping him in his business. The couple has two daughters (5-year old Lavanya and 19-month old Sasha).
She was a popular face during the 1990s and 2000s. Language had never been a barrier to her as she had acted in all the leading Indian film industries including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bhojpuri and Hindi.
She is mainly remembered for her glamorous roles. In her career, she worked with big names of Indian films including Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Vijay, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Ravichandran, Upendra, Salman Khan, Govinda and Mammootty.
Her last outing was Malayalam film "The Filmstaar" in 2011 with Dileep. Later, she had appeared in several TV shows.
