Meenakshi has landed in a trouble after slapping an assistant director on the sets of her forthcoming Tamil film "Ner Mugam". The actress has also apologised for acting like that after losing temper on the sets of the flick.
The assistant director, Shankar, had entered her caravan without her permission and this is said to be the reason behind Meenakshi losing her temper. The entire crew was shocked after she slapped him.
Some people on the sets tried to enquire why she had slapped Shankar, but she stormed off without answering their questions.
"We were shooting a crucial scene in the city recently. That's when Meenakshi walked to the spot from her caravan and slapped Shankar (the assistant director) for no apparent reason. The entire team asked her why she slapped him, but she walked away without responding. Shankar is not the kind of person who annoys anyone on the set. We are yet to ascertain as to why she slapped Shankar," the Times of India quotes a source as saying.
However, Meenakshi has given a written apology over slapping the assistant director and promised that such an incident won't happen again. The actress, who has worked in multiple language films, was recently seen in Nayantara and Vijay Sethupathi starrer "Naanum Rowdy Dhaan".
