Starlet Mamata Patel, who played a small role in Irrfan Khan-starrer "Paan Singh Tomar," has filed a complaint against an unidentified person.
In the complaint, she alleged that an unidentified person had threatened her over phone saying she would face consequences in case she continued to talk against Irrfan Khan.
"A non-cognizable offence has been registered against an unidentified person for making a threatening call to actress Mamata Patel. She received the call yesterday when she was at her home in suburban Bhayandar," Arun Bhagt, senior inspector at Juhu police station, was quoted as saying by the Indian Express on Saturday.
Subsequently, Patel, approached the police station informing about the call, Bhagt said.
According to her, the caller told her not to talk anything bad about Irrfan, police said.
"The actress claimed the caller threatened her that if she continued to talk bad about Irrfan, she would face consequences," said an officer at the police station.
However, the source claimed that Patel was unhappy with her small role in the movie and she started blaming Irrfan and film's director Tigmanshu Dhulia, saying that the duo had made false promises of a good role for her in the movie.
