Everything seems to be possible for the young talent Lakshmi Menon.
From a dancer to an actress and now to a playback singer; she has followed the league of actors like Dhanush and Ramya Nambeesan, who also have become established singers of the industry.
Lakshmi has now become a singing sensation with her debut song "Kukkuru Kukkuru" for the film "Oru Oorula Rendu Raja".
The rustic number is composed by D. Imman and the lyrics are penned by Eknath.
The makers had initially decided to cast Sunny Leone for this dance number, but budget issues made them choose Iniya for the part instead. Recently, they had released the making video of the song.
Meanwhile, the audio of the film was launched on 27 August at a glittering event held at Sathyam Cinemas, which was attended by many celebrities, including Sivakarthikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Karthik, Vishnu, Keyaar, Vikraman, Suseendran, Thenappan, Manoj Kumar, G. Dhananjayan, Manobala, Escape Artiste's Madhan, Ravi Mariyan, director Sai Ramani, Azhagar, Srikanth, Ineya, Yugabharathi, stunt master Silva, P. G. Muthiah, Singamuthu, Soor and the entire cast and crew of the film "Oru Oorulu Rendu Raja".
Out of five songs in the film, four are written by Yuga Bharathi and one by Eknath.
"Oru Oorula Rendu Raja" is a Tamil comedy entertainer starring Vimal and Priya Anand in the lead and is directed by R. Kannan, who is known for his films like "Jayamkondaan", "Kanden Kadhalai", "Vanthaan Vendraan" and "Settai".
The film is about various incidents that take place in a train journey between Tuticorin and Chennai and also has a star cast of Soori, Nassar, Anupama Kumar, Thambi Ramaiah, Singamuthu, Shankar Krishnamurthy, Shruthi Reddy, Shasha Sri, Vishakha Sing (guest appearance) and Iniya (guest appearance).
The film's cinematography is done by Muthiah and is produced by S. Michale Rayappan under the banner of Global Infotainment Pvt Ltd.
