Recently, there were several reports that the versatile actor had appeared as actress Indraja's lawyer for a case against her manager. Rumours had it that upon knowing about the case that was pending in court for two years, the megastar decided to represent Indraja and won the case for her.
However, the actress has now denied the news. "What case? I never went to court and Mammootty never appeared for me. I don't know what case this is," Indraja told The News Minute. "Where on Earth do they get such fake stories from? We should really laud the creativity of those who cook up such stories," the actress was quoted as saying by TOI.
Both Indraja and Mammootty have shared screen space in movies Chronic Bachelor and The Godman, because of which the fake story on them looked believable to many. It has to be noted that with the advancement of technology, identifying what's fake and what's not has become a tough task. Without checking real facts, people believe the bits and pieces of news they receive on social media and share it to easily make a fake information believable.
Meanwhile, on the acting career front, 2006 movie Narakasuran was the last Malayalam project of Indraja, and the actress who had stayed away from cinema was last seen in Telugu project Sathamanam Bhavati. Mammootty, whose previous release Puthan Panam couldn't make a mark at the Kerala box office, and has a handful of projects lined up for release this year. It includes Ajai Vasudev's Masterpiece, Shyamdhar's untitled project, Sethu's Kozhi Thankachan and Shamdat Sainudeen's Streetlights, among many others.
