The couple exchanged wedding vows as per the Hindu customs. While the bride donned a kanjivaram silk sari, the groom sported a traditional white shirt and dhoti.
It was Swathi's decision to have a simple wedding and wanted the marriage to be out media glare. However, once she sent invitations to a few friends from the film industry, the news of her wedding became the talk of the town.
"With just 15 days to go, I started sending out invites, and that's when it got leaked. I wanted to wait till after I was hitched to shout it out loud. Nevertheless, I'm happy to be getting married," Swathi was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

According to Swathi, her husband is a grounded person. "That's one of the reasons why I wanted my wedding to be very private because I don't want the baggage of my career to seep into my wedding celebrations or rituals. I wanted everything to go smoothly, without any hungama, as I am not a hungama person," she told the daily.
Swathi started her career with Telugu film Danger in 2005. Since then, the actress has worked in over 25 movies in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam film industries. She has also sung a few songs apart from dubbing for other artists. The actress wishes to continue to work in movies after marriage.
