Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh has refuted reports that she was putting an end to her 12-year-old marriage with golfer husband Jyoti Randhawa.
"It is not true. We were at the court for the property dispute, an internal settlement. And there were speculations because of that," she told Press Trust of India.
Chitrangada's statement comes just days after media circles reported that she was filing for divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences at the Gurgaon family court.
The 37-year-old actress dismissed the reports as mere rumours and confirmed that she and her husband are very much together. She further added that the couple had gone to court regarding a property dispute case.
According to a close source, Chitrangada is deeply disturbed with the constant media speculation on her marriage and personal life. Reports of trouble brewing in paradise emerged ever since she was romantically linked with director Sudhir Mishra, for which she has denied. The dusky beauty is generally considered as Mishra's muse.
Also, the fact that Chitrangada and Jyothi live in different cities due to their professional commitments has been the subject of constant media scrutiny. Chitrangada lives in Mumbai, while her husband resides in Gurgaon.
The couple got married in 2001 and have a 5-year-old son named Zorawar.
The actress made her debut in the film industry with "Hazaron Khwaishein Aisi" in 2005. Some of her other films include "Sorry Bhai" (2008), "Yeh Saali Zindagi"(2011), "Desi Boyz" (2011), "Inkaar" (2013) and "I, Me Aur Main"(2013).
