Leading Mollywood actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is all set to start his directorial career with a movie christened as "Lucifer", starring Mohalal. The movie will be written by Murali Gopy and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, Prithviraj tweeted on Thursday.
Prithviraj previously revealed his desire to direct movies in many interviews. This will be the first time Mollywood would witness two big stars joining hands for a movie in two separate roles. Mohanlal on his Facebook page clarified that the movie will be of big budget and it will witness collaboration of two icons of Malayalam film industry behind the camera for the first time.
The announcement comes in the wake of Mohalal's "Oppam" and Prithviraj's "Oozham" competing in theatres as Onam treat for the audience. Both the movies continue their good run at the Kerala box office owing to the positive word-of-mouth from the audience.
Apart from Prithviraj and Mohanlal coming on board, "Lucifer" will also see sons of famous yesteryear actors working in a movie other than acting. While Prithviraj, son of late actor Sukumaran, will direct the movie, Murali Gopy, son of late actor Bharat Gopy, will pen the script.
