Here is a piece of news that would make Kamal Haasan's fans jump with joy!
After taking the centre stage at the 13th IIFA Awards in Singapore this week, where he showcased the excerpts from his much-awaited movie 'Vishawroopam' (Universal form), the Indian versatile actor Kamal is now set to take off to Hollywood for a project.
Kamal confirmed that he would be working with one of the famous Hollywood producers, Barrie M. Osborne in the coming days.
According to sources, the project is going to be about Indian culture but in Hollywood frame. However, the project is still in its infancy and we have to wait for a while before we get to hear more from the latest Kollywood-Hollywood team.
Talking on the sidelines of the IIFA Awards, Osborne appreciated Kamal for his knowledge of art, literature and films, calling him "an encyclopedia."
Osborne reportedly said that he has been interested to work with the Dasavatharam actor and was waiting for the right story. He said that Kamal presented an idea to him, which he felt "compelling."
Osborne said he was impressed seeing the work of Kamal, when the Tamil actor was in Hollywood for the "Vishawroopam" project.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan was visibly overwhelmed to work with such a big person from the West, saying that Osborne has worked with "champions of Hollywood"; hence, it was his honour to team up with him.
"We are still developing the idea. It's an international movie involving the world. We have just decided that we would work together. As an actor I'll do it, as a writer I'll do it, and if he needs me to direct it, I'll do that also," IANS reported Kamal as saying.
