After Malayalam actresses Divya Unni and Amala Paul, another celebrity couple in Mollywood call it quits. South Indian actor Bala and playback singer Amrutha Suresh are getting divorced and the news has already started doing the rounds on social media.
It is said that Amrutha had filed a divorce petition at the Kaloor family court five months ago, and the duo appeared in the court on Thursday for counselling. The family court has also considered the actor's plea to visit their only daughter, who is now staying with Amrutha.
Similar divorce reports about the couple had surfaced earlier in June 2015, but Amrutha had then slammed them calling rumours. "For those who enjoy doing these craps. .. what pleasure do you get from this? Leave us alone. . hope facebook pages are meant for good causes and not for playing with families... shame on you people! [sic]," the actress had posted on her Facebook page. However, Bala had then apparently given a statement to a leading daily that the couple might head for a separation.
After being in a relationship for a long time, Amrutha and Bala got married in 2010, and have three-year-old daughter Avantika.
The divorce news has hit the headlines just days after actress Divya Unni confirmed on parting ways with her husband Dr. Sudhir Sekharan ending their 14-year-long marital life. Recently, South Indian actress Amala Paul and director AL Vijay had also confirmed about their getting separated due to some reasons only known by the "Devi (L)" director.
